A two-week hiking trip in Peru takes us to the most scenic hiking trails in the Andes. The main goal of the trip is to complete a multi-day hiking trail across the Huayhuash mountain range.
Volcanoes, lunar landscapes, sun, desert, hot springs and salt lagoons – and to top it all off, a hike to 6000 meters altitude.
Why call it an attempt? If you take a look at the map below, you’ll see that I didn’t make it very far. With a base in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, my original plan was to ride to Peru, complete a loop, and return to Bolivia in about a month.
